Pennsylvania Railroad super powerThe following are all of my idea for Pennsylvania railroad super power steam, which in the alternate history, ran into the present at latest. As did most successful steam locomotives in my alternate history.Class: P6Configuration: 4-6-4Quantity built: 34Numbers: 7900-7933History: The PRR was initially reluctant to use the 4-6-4 beyond its P5a electric engine. This due to the fact that it was poorly suited to the PRR's mountainous terrain, wasting much potential adhesive weight on non-driver wheels. Not helping was that rival New York Central adopted the arrangement for its own passenger engines. But it did adapt it when the K4s became too small for the bigger and bigger trains. The P6s were mostly just K4s with an extra set of trailing wheels to make the firebox larger. Some of these engines were also streamlined in the style of K4 Pacifics 1120, 2665, 3678, and 5338.At first the P6s used similar tenders to the K4 Pacifics. But in 1939, the PRR designed a larger tender for these
